Chatham Marketplace is a grocery store owned by our shoppers (and you if you, if you choose). Unlike corporate chains, our co-op is completely independent and owned by the people who shop here. Here’s a nice YouTube video with more information about food co-ops.
Now is a great time to sign up as an owner. We’re promoting ownership and giving out extra gifts. New owners that sign up before October 22 will receive a $20 gift card – and the first 25 will receive a canvas tote. New owners will also get some extra special, high dollar coupons – and all owners are getting a free Fall pumpkin.
Our goal is to have 50 new owners by October 22 – 2,000+ active owners (shopped within the past 12 months) – & 3,000+ owners. In addition to new owners keeping our co-op relevant, our owner equity is cash that allows the store to reinvest in the business and make upgrades to the tools and equipment we use to serve you!
