At Chatham Marketplace we’re proud to celebrate the work of our local farmers by paying them fair prices they can actually live on – and we love offering our customers the best, freshest produce around, grown close to home!

To make it easy to support your local producers, we clearly label local items throughout our stores. We define local as within a 100 mile radius of Chatham County or within the state of North Carolina. Choosing locally grown food means less shipping pollution and a very fresh product. By supporting area farmers, we help ensure a healthy earth for the future. We are all stronger when we spend our shopping dollars in our own community.

Usually our local farmers will harvest their crops and bring them in the same day to be displayed in our three deck 24 foot cooler.

About 25% of our case is local produce.  Of course, summer is the most abundant time for local farmers, but many of our farmers grow all year around.
